Sweden Textile Water Initiative


STWI Projects’ mission is to build capacities towards sustainable water use in textile and leather manufacturing processes in production countries during the period 2015-2017.

Improve environmental impact of factories and build their capacity to continue improving their resource efficiency.

Build institutional capacities for improved decision-making at the national / provincial level, and provide decision-makers with water risk Assessments are conducted by SIWI in collaboration with national, Swedish and international stakeholders, public, private and NGOs.

The project in Ethiopia is now completed. We created a Water Governance Report for Ethiopia to help map the water risks for the textile industry there.
